THE DISPLAY

Honx ordered several displays in all kinds of shapes and sizes. In the end we went with the 3.5in Newhaven NHD-3.5-320240MF-ASXN#-CTP display for the first prototype. It features 24bit, a capacitive touch panel and 320x240 pixels. Fancy modern features that we won't be needing.

STM32 CPU

The STM32 Nucleo-144 boards are more than suitable for our purpose during this early stage of development. And they're cheap, too - which is always a plus :D

HACKEBOY CONCEPT SKETCHES

inspired by the likes of Pico-8 and Arduboy we've decided to design our own fantasy retro console during this years 33c3. Here are some of the concept sketches for the case:

This minimalistic design is clean and simple and probably the easiest to manufacture.

How about a quad-multiplayer console?

Post No #00015 | 2016-12-27 | by gizmo

Quad multiplayer might be too much, but two player is totally doable.
